The Cadbury Story
You will be welcomed by John Cadbury and hear the inspiring story of the early struggles to establish the Cadbury business.
Their Quaker principles were very important factors in the development of a new and different type of factory, and particularly in their approach to the welfare of their workforce.
Listen while John Cadbury and his sons, Richard and George tell you about the formation and subsequent growth of their family business, how they developed their production methods and the quality of the product, the reasons behind moving in 1879 to “the factory in a garden” and even how it became named Bournville.
Chocolate Making
Everybody loves the story of how liquid chocolate is made, especially when it comes with some very special effects.
Here you will learn about the most important ingredients of milk chocolate, and the way Cadbury combines them to create that marvellous Cadbury taste.
But be warned, you’re in for a few surprises...
Factory
Whilst regulations do not allow us to take you into the whole factory, we realise that this is something all chocolate lovers are keen to see.
On most days, you’ll take a specially created route that takes you through a section of our moulded factory to see how we wrap some of our famous bars such as Cadbury Dairy Milk.
We cannot guarantee you will see chocolate in production, but if you’re lucky you might just see the wrapped and packed chocolate disappearing through the floor in front of you ready to be dispatched.
Cadabra
Step into one of our Beanmobiles and enjoy a gentle ride through a chocolate wonderland populated by familiar characters as you discover the magic of Cadbury.
Great fun for kids, especially the “bigger ones”!
One of the Beanmobiles is adapted to take wheelchairs, so everyone can enjoy the ride.
Demonstration Area
Arrive in the Demonstration area to have a go at writing your name in fresh liquid chocolate.
With experienced Cadbury World demonstrators on hand, it’s great fun to play with chocolate.
Cadbury and TV
See the actual set used by Cadbury for the original Coronation Street sponsorship, Enjoy some of the cute little characters, and then take a trip down memory lane with the help of some familiar and well-loved Cadbury TV ads from the 1950's onwards.
A finger of Fudge is just enough because Everyone’s a Fruit and Nutcase and only the crumbliest flakiest chocolate tastes like chocolate never tasted before....
Purple Planet
Purple Planet is a state of the art interactive exhibition, where you will experience chocolate like you never have before. Chase a Cadbury Creme Egg, grow your own Cocoa beans and wonder in amazement as it rains chocolate.

If you fancy treating yourself to a memento of your visit, you're sure to find something in the World's Biggest Cadbury Shop.
In here you’ll see all sorts of chocolate and confectionery-related souvenirs from the mouth-watering treat itself to Cadbury teddy bears and top-quality branded clothing.
Cadbury Cafe
Take a pit stop from your Cadbury World tour and refuel at Cadbury Café.
Whether it's a scrumptious cake, a delicious hot lunch, a tasty Panini or a healthy salad Cadbury Café has it all.
Essence
In the new Cadbury World Essence, you are taken back through time to discover the secret behind Cadbury Chocolates’ unique taste. But this isn’t just as history lesson: armed with this expert knowledge, you can create your own Cadbury magic using ingredients like popcorn, biscuit pieces and of course, liquid milk chocolate.
