Below you will find some questions we are often asked by school groups who visit us:

How long will our visit last?

How long will our visit last?
The average walk around the exhibition lasts about 1 ¾ hours, not including the Bournville Experience (allow additional 30 minutes). Plus there's an outdoor play area, two shops, a restaurant and a picnic area. In total, most of our visitors spend at least 3 hours on site.

Is it a guided tour?
Cadbury World is a one-way self-guided tour which you can enjoy at your leisure.

Is it a factory tour?
No - Cadbury World is a visitor centre, you will see a small part of the real factory known as the Packaging Plant but we cannot guarantee it will be operational because it is subject to factory operational constraints.

Do we have to book before visiting?
Reservations are essential to guarantee admission.

Is there coach parking?
Yes - there is adequate free parking on site.

Are you allowed to bring cameras and camcorders in?
Yes - cameras and camcorders can be used on site except in the Packaging Plant.

Do people have to bring packed lunches?
Whilst you are welcome to bring packed lunches we have a Cadbury World self-service restaurant which is situated off the Reception area next door to the shop. Lunches and light snacks, hot and cold drinks are available during opening hours, although hot lunch choices finish by 3 p.m. Other catering facilities become available according to demand.

Do you have people to supervise school groups?
No, but for every 10 students a member of school staff goes free.
Please note that students are not allowed in the packaging plant unsupervised.

Is there a minimum / maximum group size?
Minimum 15.

If a child is sick on the day and can’t come do you give a refund?
Yes. You need to inform us of the details upon arrival at the booking desk.

Is anyone available to talk to our class?
Yes, Cadbury World has its own Education Manager but talks must be pre-booked. Click here for  information on Education Talks.

Are there any rooms set aside as classrooms we could use?
Yes. We have rooms available to take up to 100 students. These must be pre-booked.
